    About these sound types

    CalmMind sound technologies

CalmMind is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Bilateral stimulation mode supports self-regulation only and is not a substitute for clinical EMDR or therapy.

CalmMind uses audio approaches to support relaxation, focus, and mental wellbeing:

    • Binaural Beats: Two slightly different frequencies in each ear; best with headphones. Strong evidence for anxiety/stress in clinical settings.
    • Isochronic Tones: Pulsed single tones; effective without headphones. Moderate evidence
    • Pink Noise: Masks disruptive sounds; use timed sessions. Mixed evidence
    • Nature Sounds: CC0 field recordings (rain, ocean, forest).
    • HRV Coherence: ~0.1 Hz breathing with visual pacer. Strong evidence
    • Bilateral Stimulation (BLS): Alternating L/R tones for calm — not clinical EMDR.
    • Solfeggio: Traditional tone sets. Wellness tradition
